Meet the Doctors
Dr. Ian mapes
Owner and Lead Dentist
After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan with high honors, Dr. Mapes attended the Univeristy at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. As a cum laude graduate, Dr. Mapes furthered his dental expertise and honed his skills in a post-graduate residency program at Palmetto Health in Columbia, South Carolina.
Dr. Mapes received advanced training in implantology (placement of dental implants), endodontics (root canal surgery), oral surgery (extractions), IV sedation, and prosthodontics. For several years, Dr. Mapes associated alongside New York City's top dentists. He is dedicated to continuing education and has trained with some of the nation's most forward-thinking dentists in functional occlusion/smile design, as well as cosmetic orthodontics (Six Month Smiles and Invisalign).
He understands that each person has a unique personality and unique dental needs and treats each patient as such. He appreciates that from the patient’s perspective, the dentist is getting about as "up close and personal" as anyone can get. For this reason, Dr. Mapes makes it his top priority to comfort his patients and put them at ease before beginning even the simplest procedure.

Dr. Beaty joined the Court Square Dentistry team in 2016, following her passion of providing top quality personalized care to all of her patients in the Long Island City area and beyond.
As a dentist, Dr. Beaty hopes to bring a family practice feel to the big city and put all her patients at ease. She feels that every mouth is like a different puzzle, and helping patient solve their individualized puzzle to see their whole mouth smile is the best part of her job!
Growing up in Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Beaty built a strong foundation of small town values as well as a closeness to her family and community, which she maintains with frequent visits for family birthdays, events, and always for Thanksgiving, which is her favorite holiday of the year.
Proud to call New York City her home, Dr. Beaty loves the bright lights and diverse culture that the city has to offer. She is always ready to try a new restaurant or visit a new event.
